In my humble opinion, this is a item that "functions" improved on Television than in real life. I eagerly awaited the arrival of this item at my neighborhood supplier. They lastly arrived! Hope faded when the supplier informed they only received the light blonde units. :( Supplier known as one more location who had the unit designed for darker hair. I drove over to the other location to choose it up.
Got it property and tried and tried to function with it. The best description of it I can give is that it is cresent-shaped with tiny arrow-shaped projections about the edges of it. These "prongs" on the base are supposed to grab the hair with the prongs more than the best securing whatever hair you drape of them.
Challenge: Heads are curved structures. When you place the unit on your head, there is nothing to maintain it upright. When you attempt to pass hair more than the top of it, it won't stay upright. It falls more than or particularly conveniently shifts out of location. It appears that if the unit had been created with tuck combs attached to it, you could anchor it to your hair to keep it in location. That way styling your hair more than it would be significantly a lot easier.
The supplier told me that they had been getting discontinued. Just after buying it, I can see why.
General opinion: Great concept - particularly bad design.

This is a terrific item! I have dark brown hair and it is not rather thick but I was able to have Wonderful volume! I not too long ago wore it to a friend's wedding and then again to a garden party and I got tons of compliments on my hair. The important is, you nevertheless have to tease your hair so you cannot see the teeth. With some teasing and fluffing all of the teeth were covered with maximum volume! I am not very talented when it comes to undertaking hair but this produced it look skilled. I program on buying these for buddies for Christmas!
